Library Advisory



The Library Advisory Board serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and also coordinates with, and provides input to, the Board of Trustees of the King County Library District and local library officials.


There are five members of the Library Board. At least three of the members are to be residents of the City. Up to two members may reside within the Maple Valley Library Service Area or own, operate or be employed by business entities located within the Maple Valley Service Area as defined by the King County Library System.

The Library Advisory Board meets every other month on the first Thursday at 7:00 p.m., at the Maple Valley Library. All meetings are open to the public.
